Unfortunately we were unable to bring the plate home this year, pipped by a bigger squad from Beaconsfield in the final. Huge thanks to Matt White & Kat for bringing the kit down and being heroic all day, Alan Hancock clubman of the century for helping the day go well for the boys and reminding Ramez Farahani what day it was ?. Hugest thanks to the Academy lads for carrying us old men to the final! Fredi Slater Traish James Hancock Aidan and Loic.
Navy Stingrays - lost - close game, but they just had the nous to find the tries
Racing - lost - needed a conversion to tie! Awesome performances across the squad
Abingdon leopards - Won - a battering from start to finish ????
Cobras ? - Lost - sosososo close!! very similar to England v Belgium... we didn’t really want to win... ?
Bicester - won - score 100000-5 roasted the poor lads, peak performance from a weary squad
Beaconsfield - lost - they weren’t great, but got the ball to their gas man slightly better than us, got away once we were chasing the game ?
Man of the Tournament: Freddy Campbell gasgasgasgasgasgasgas (honorary mentions: Kieran Delange the dump truck, Ed Yeates class when he actually got on the pitch, James Fergus J Connolly - bought a Doggo ?)
Special mention: George Hopson turned up late, didn’t get his kit on until the semi final, didn’t come onto the pitch until we were 5 tries up battering Bicester, then, first touch, ran in a try set up by Noel O'Brien & George Tierney, then went off the pitch to to review his try with his personal cameraman Aidan Tynan ?
Thanks so much to everyone who came down and made it an enjoyable and memorable day, seriously looking forward to the season #GTQ
